Tutorful is the UK’s top-rated tutoring marketplace for personalised tutoring that gets results.

Their flexible online platform connects learners of all ages with qualified, experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one tutoring, both in-person and online, covering academic topics, exam preparation, language tuition, and much more.

Ready to evolve, Tutorful partnered with us to define a bold, confident identity that could lead them into their next chapter. The goal was to stand out in a competitive market while reinforcing the trust and reliability at the heart of their platform. The result is a brand that feels fresh, focused, and future-facing—built to inspire confidence in students, parents, and tutors alike.

Tutorful has been on a rapid growth trajectory since its inception in 2015, and has expanded to become a thriving community of tutors and learners.

Partnering for success

The team initially approached us to make some simple updates to their website—but it quickly became clear that a deeper brand rethink was needed. With 2024 marking a pivotal moment for growth, Tutorful saw the opportunity to realign and re-energise its brand to better reflect its evolution and future direction.

We began with in-depth competitor research and a full brand audit to assess Tutorful’s current positioning.

Key areas for improvement stood out: a child-focused visual language that didn’t speak to learners of all ages, a heavy reliance on stock imagery and flat graphics, and a web experience lacking the distinctiveness needed to stand out in a crowded market and connect with a broader audience.

We were inspired by the idea of “finding a tutor you really click with” and made this the cornerstone of the updated brand—highlighting Tutorful’s wide range of tutors and subjects, and its flexible approach to learning.

Green is now the primary brand colour, symbolising accomplishment, optimism, and reassurance, while updated typography adds personality and playfulness.

Standard stock images have been replaced with more authentic photography that tells the inspiring stories of real learners. The new website design feels modern and accessible, with an animated carousel at the centre of the user journey to showcase a variety of content types.

Our digital-first approach focused on creating a seamless, intuitive user experience that aligns with the brand, while ensuring the design was functional and adaptable across platforms.
